Texas UNDINE H647AI)(ET)

E10 x Bushs Grand Design (Z183)

Texas UNDINE H647 is a highly productive daughter of the great Texas UNDINE Z183. H647 has some serious power, performance and presence and is now one of the stud’s most dominate breeding females just like her mother was. She has already accumulated $930,000 worth of progeny sales and is almost about to surpass her mothers amazing record of selling $1,000,000 worth of bulls alone. H647’s record on paper is so impressive with 25 sons currently averaging just under $36,000 topping at $225,000 for Texas ICEMAN R725. ICEMAN, a Poss MAVERICK son topped our 2021 bull sale selling to Macka’s Black Angus and Genetics Australia and at the time was Australia’s highest ever selling Angus bull. ICEMAN is Australia’s highest priced 15 month Angus bull ever to sell.  We only have ever offered one of her females and which sold in our 2021 female sale for $25,000 selling to Ascot & Broadwater Angus QLD.  She has sold 5 bulls over $40,000 and we don’t think there are many cows in the breed with his record.

She has 7 sons in stud duties around Australia while we have retained 2 for our own herd.  Texas POWERPLAY P613 was Australia’s 2nd highest priced bull of the 2020 Angus bull sale calendar selling for $108,000 to Kelly’s Angus and Worldwide Sires and we have used him extensively as well as his 3 brothers, POWER SHIFT P632, POWER ASSIT P605 and POWERBALL P614 with their sons featuring in our 2023 upcoming Bull Sale at the end of July. H647 will leave a huge legacy in the Texas herd and we are excited with her future progeny to hit the ground! H647 will have 6 sons in this year’s sale including full flush brothers to ICEMAN. Currently H647 has 105 progeny recorded.

ITexas PRIDE L600(AI)(ET)

Texas PRIDE L600 – was sold privately this year for a Australian Angus Mature Price record of $150,000 to Moorunga Angus VIC. L600 is a very special cow of the Texas herd and it was a big decision for us to sell her. The only thing that swayed us was we have a significant number of her genetics filtered throughout the herd.  She sold with a cracking Mogck Entice bull calf at foot.

L600 displays all the qualities of the Texas herd; incredible fleshing, femininity, great structure, performance and has bred the house down which is why she has been our lead donor for the last few years. L600’s maternal background is huge. We believe excellent genetics always flows from the maternal base and L600’s maternal history is built like the roman empire. Her dam is the great Texas PRIDE E30 who was sold to 3R Livestock for an Australian Angus Mature Cow record of $60,000 at 11 years old (at that time) and is now their foundation donor who is still being flushed at 14 years of age. While her grand dam, Texas PRIDE B052, was also a very successful breeder in the Texas herd.

L600’s first natural calf, Texas NASA N121, needs no introduction. His first 22 sons were sold at this year’s bull sale topping at $50,000 and averaging just below $30,000. NASA’s sons were heavily chased at the sale for their calving ease, true power and performance and they were also in hot demand at South Australian Glatz Black Angus bull sale earlier this year. Her second bull calf, a Varilek GEDDES son, Texas ROMEO R190 was the standout bull of this year’s draft and we decided to retain him in the stud with his calves due next Autumn. Like NASA he is a phenotypically outstanding bull with incredible length, super slick, strength of head & carriage and has awesome docility.

L600’s first sons sold in this year’s bull sale and were in hot demand because of their sheer natural fleshing and weight for age. In summary her 10 sons topped at $55,000 and averaged $32,000. We have 12 of L600’s daughters retained and will be using NASA and ROMEO heavily for the next few years to maintain L600’s influence throughout the herd. L600 features 11 sons in this years sale and has currently 40 progeny recorded.

ITexas UNDINE L621(AI)(ET)

TOUR OF DUTY x Grand Design

Texas UNDINE L621 a powerful large volume daughter of the great Texas UNDINE Z183. She has sold sons to $58,000 and currently her sons are averaging $39,000. An Angus female we believe will be perfect to inject power, performance and bone in the frailer Angus types being currently bred. Her capacity is extraordinary, hit to pin and length must be admired. Very much looking forward to her progeny being

A number of her sons have been purchased by stud breeders including Woodbourn TAS, Alpine VIC, Granite Ridge SA, Little Meadows WA, Gundapark QLD, Welcome Swallow VIC, Sandon Glenoch QLD, East West & High Land Court NSW. Texas PRIDE E030 (AI)

  A2 x Yellowstone

Texas PRIDE E30 was selected as a donor because of her breeding pedigree and being another maternal line for the stud.  Last year we sold her daughter Texas PRIDE L600 for Australia’s highest mature priced female at $150,000 to Moorunga Angus and another daughter Texas PRIDE P633 for $40,000 to St Fillan’s Angus both to become donors. E30’s progeny is currently averaging $52,500 and her bulls have topped many of our bull sales.  We retained Texas NASA N121 (son of L600 and grand son of E030) purely on his performance (birth to growth), phenotype and temperament. His 22 sons featured heavily in 2022 bull sale topping at $55,000 and averaged $29,000. Her 2 sons were the equal second top priced for 2018 bull sale at $28,000 and her 4 sons averaged $20,000.  She breeds moderate framed, huge volume and capacity progeny with great structure and temperament. Her females are also breeding very well. Her females have sold up to $16,000 and averaging $14,500. Has currently 81 progeny recorded.

Texas UNDINE H638(AI)(ET)

 Berkley x Grand Design

Texas UNDINE H638 Yet another Z183 daughter that is breeding incredibly well.  Her first progeny has topped at $56,000, a magnificent power bull sold to DSK Angus in 2017. 2021 her natural Maverick son Texas TOP GUN R66 sold for $55,000 to Mundarlo Angus, NSW. We are a big believers in cow lines and Texas Angus has never introduced another female since 1936.  We think the tight female lines of this stud is what gives us consistency and reduced variation which is evident when looking at our bull sale drafts. This cow has real horse power and her progeny are not large framed but have real weight for age with added softness. We are looking forward to flushing her to some elite worldwide sires. Her 20 bulls are currently averaging $20,600. She will have 3 sons in this year’s sale including full flush brothers to TOP GUN. Currently H638 has 84 progeny recorded.
